Keith and Mel met the way that most people don’t anymore…in person! They were just friends of some friends in a bar on St. Patrick’s Day and they connected. But Mel was headed elsewhere with her friends, so in a moment of boldness, she quickly grabbed Keith’s phone and put her number in. He waited just a bit to text her and then the rest is history! They’ve shared a relationship full of laughter and good food and good wine and now they’re getting married! When it came time to propose, Keith went for the wow factor :] He planned a private wine tasting for the two of them and Mel was so wrapped up asking the sommelier questions that she wasn’t even the least bit suspicious. Meanwhile, Keith was counting down the seconds to what would happen next – a special wine box came out just for them and Keith took his opportunity. “I’m so glad you stole my phone that day…” Mel gave a very surprised yes!
Keith and Mel have had to plan their wedding in uncertainty of covid-19 and it was definitely a celebration to get to have their engagement session! The rain held out for us and we had a lovely July evening in Oldtown Alexandria to work with. The sun was shining bright as we walked to shared stories, as we laughed at Keith’s jokes, and marveled at Mel’s fun personality. It was the loveliest couple hours and it’s easy to see why they’ve found a home in each other. The sky turned pink at the end of the night and we grew more and more thankful that it would only be one month until we’d get to celebrate their wedding!!
Keith and Mel, we had so much fun with you guys! We’re so excited to see you in September!
Love the way he makes her smile!
