Caleb slid into her DMs. But really :] Jordan’s grandparents had been sitting one row away from Caleb’s family’s at church for years so Caleb went with a simple “I don’t know if you remember me, but…” And the rest is history :] Well, there were some twists and turns, but eventually they were both available and there was no turning back. Even after they decided to go to colleges that were a 5 hour drive a part. They’re getting married in about 6 weeks and they’ve never even lived in the same zip code! They spent four years of college, completely long distance, both making the drives back and forth, prioritizing seeing each other when they could. Meanwhile, they were both having incredible experiences and growing into more of who God made them to be on their own. They were both part of Cru at their respective universities, so you know they’ve got a special place in our heart! What a force they’re going to be once they’re able to be together!
This past January, it was finally the right time for a proposal. Caleb schemed with Jordan’s bestie and they came up with the most casual sneaky plan. Jordan was confused at every turn and only slightly suspicious :] In the end, Caleb asked her for forever in her little college town with a crowd of employees cheering for them through a shop window! There was a surprise party directly after and Jordan remembers it being the best time – and the last time that she got to gather with all of her friends during her senior year of college before a pandemic hit! With all that they’ve been through and all the challenges that wedding planning has brought them, October couldn’t come soon enough :]
We met out at Caleb’s family property for their session and it was the MOST gorgeous evening! We chatted about Jesus and weddings (Jordan’s a wedding planner!) and growth and cows and funny college stories and country life and the night seemed to stretch on forever :] We are so, so, so excited for them and cannot wait to capture their wedding day!
Jordan, who would’ve thought our little armchair chat in December would’ve led to this! So grateful to be a part of your wedding experience!
