Hugh and Rene’s day was nothing like they’d envisioned. Everyone they’d hoped could be there wasn’t there – but even still, it was perfect. Hugh and Rene had a big group of friends cheering for them that day and everyone was 100% excited to see them married! The resounding joy filled up each and every room they were in and spilled out onto the grounds of Sunnybrook. Rene was simply a vision in her dress – she was made to be a bride! And when Hugh saw her, phew! He couldn’t stop admiring her every chance he got! You could tell just from his eyes that he was blown away by her, so aware of how lucky he was to be marrying her.

Their ceremony was beautiful and meaningful. Every bit of it pointed towards Jesus and their love for Him. Their officiant read sections of letters that Hugh and Rene had written about each other to the guests, and the common thread was always intentionality and Jesus. They’re a match made in Heaven. Worship music rang through the property during their first act as a married couple – communion. And then they were walking back up the aisle beaming at their new found reality. Married, after all this time!

The reception went by in a blink! It’s definitely something even MORE special now to have most of your favorite people in one place for the night! People were reveling in simply being together. There was lots of laughter and dancing and eating good food and toasting to Hugh and Rene. At the end of the night, Hugh and Rene shared a dance on an empty dance floor, right before walking through a tunnel of sparklers and disappearing off into the night! It was the perfect first day for the new Ramlows.

Rene has been a bridesmaid in two of our past weddings over the years and we felt SO lucky to be the ones capturing her day when it was her turn to be the bride! Hugh and Rene, you two are so lovely together and we loved being a part of your day!
