When you get set up by your sister and it actually works out: The Nick and Krissi story. Krissi had been hearing about her sister and brother-in-law’s cop friend for what felt like forever. They even crossed paths a few times over the years. Nick was a good friend of Brandon and Melissa’s so, of course, he’d run into Melissa’s little sister before. Neither of them had made an impression on the other though. When the official set up finally did happen, it was over a little camp out that Brandon and Melissa had set up. A double date for the four of them where Nick and Krissi hit it off right away. Unfortunately, Krissi lived pretty far away at the time, but the moment Nick found out she was moving back to the area…it was go time!
And they both knew that they knew not too long after that. They just fit together. And Krissi knew about one of Nick’s favorite bands, and that super sealed the deal. :] (AND this band will supply their wedding song!) Pretty soon, Nick was nervously setting up a romantic dinner and surprising Krissi so that he could propose. It had only been months since they started dating, but they’d both been so sure that it surprised precisely no one that they moved so quickly! Their families were overjoyed and they’re anxious to start their lives together officially! The next chapter in their story!
We’ve known Nick since college and he is one of our very favorite people! Almost all of our fond college memories include him! And we spent so much time talking about the future together! So seeing Krissi, the one who was meant for him all along, is so surreal!! Krissi’s older sister Melissa was actually the first wedding that we ever shot!! So all of this feels VERY full circle to us! We’re so thankful to be included in their day and are seriously counting down until May to see them make it official!!
It must’ve been the very coldest day of January when we met up with Nick and Krissi! But, besides the fact that we all verbally acknowledged we were cold, you could barely tell! Nick and Krissi are just so thrilled to be close to each other! Krissi is so gorgeous and Nick is so wonderfully in love with her that the time literally flew by. We could’ve laughed and talked and reminisced with them for three more hours in 28 degree weather and been perfectly content to do so!
