It was a gorgeous day at Sunnybrook, the May sun shining bright and blue skies with fluffy clouds for miles. Carrie was full to the brim of anxious energy, just counting down until ceremony time! She quietly stepped into her dress with her momma by her side and then shed a few tears as she read a letter from Kris. She was ready! After four years together, it was finally their turn. Carrie couldn’t help but break down into tears as she walked down the aisle towards Kris. Their windy roads had brought them both to this moment in time, committing their lives to each other and the Lord.
Their reception couldn’t help but be joyful! They both looked so much more comfortable and themselves in each other’s arms. The toasts had everyone laughing and simultaneously crying, and the ice cream cone share in place of a cake cutting was so perfectly them. The kiddos filled the dance floor, another true marker of Carrie’s sweet personality and love with children! Kris and Carrie stuck together all night long, ending with a show stopping dance move during “I had the time of my life” from dirty dancing. They drove off into the sunset in Kris’s fathers old truck, just like a fairytale.
We just love Kris and Carrie. They’re two of the kindest people ever! We felt like family at this wedding instead of guests and it was just like coming home! What a gift and a joy to start our spring season with these two!
