Nick and Krissi’s day was so long awaited. Krissi waited anxiously with her girls, spying and smiling out the window when Nick appeared outside. Nick, nervous and a little jittery, ready to see his favorite person. It was like the tension oozed out of both of them as soon as they saw each other during the first look! Nick immediately broke into tears when he saw his beautiful bride and Krissi’s eyes welled up as she locked her gaze with his. They just understand each other, surely they’re two halves to a whole and all was well once they could hold each other close. Krissi pulled out all the stops – with both the perfect gift for Nick and the best surprise of all – a visit from their pup Bella!
The rain started to drizzle, but it simply didn’t matter! They were together with their favorite people surrounding them and it was just good. Nick’s eyes filled with tears again when Krissi walked down the aisle to him and they spent the ceremony exchanging knowing looks and laughing at personal jokes about their Bella. I’ve never seen smiles quite like the ones on their faces once they shared their first kiss as husband and wife! It was magical! The rest of the evening was perfect. They were restricted in numbers by state regulations, but still were so full and overflowing with love in that reception room! As they walked off into the sparkler filled night, there couldn’t have been two happier people!
Phewww this one means the world to us, friends. Nick is one of our favorite people from college and it was pure gift to see him marry the love of his life. I spent the entire ceremony crying into my camera because seeing Nick so happy was just contagious!! David and I spent so much of college with Nick and it was an honor to be in the intimate crowd on Friday, documenting his day and bearing witness to their love and sprinkling in inside jokes from college along the way! Krissi is his other half and it is so beautiful to witness them love each other! Did I mention Krissi’s sister is Melissa and she’s our first ever KPP bride! Before we had a business, there was Melissa and Brandon and they’re about to be married for ten years! What a day! What a joy!
This is one of my favorite weddings ever! The personal connection certainly is why, but also, everything was drop dead gorgeous and perfectly pulled together. Krissi was a literal vision and Nick is so wonderfully in love with her! Give me a rainy wedding day any time if it means we get these results 🙂

The first look was perfect and so emotional!
Now for the surprises!
I must explain…because you’ll be seeing a lot of this belt! Nick’s a huge wrestling fan and Krissi knows him SO so well so of course this was a perfect wedding gift for him!
A few portraits in the rain!
Krissi’s eyes! Goodness gracious girl, you are BEAUTIFUL!
Surprise number 2 – a visit from their pup Bella!
Such a fun, intimate bridal party! They were all the best about being out in the rain!
Right before Krissi walked down to him!
The emotion in Krissi’s eyes!
Regency at Dominion Valley has the BEST rain plan for a ceremony out on this little veranda.
So, so happy!
I’m holding the one back where you can see me smiling at them as they walk away with SO many tears in my eyes!
The best smiles!
One of my favorites!
Such a beautiful reception space!
The belt makes an appearance!
Best bride ever! Reading to her little niece and nephew before the night was done!
