Michael and Sarah met on campus at James Madison University. They got to know each other in the geology department, in classes and in between, growing a friendship that really sparked into something new midway through. Their study abroad trip to the Bahamas is what sealed the deal for them. Their close friendship grew to something even more and when you meet them they just makes sense. Michael and Sarah go hand in hand. They’re both adventurers, both wildly passionate and supernaturally kind. No wonder they figured out that they fit best together! They were such a sure thing that they spent time after college graduation traveling up and down the east coast in Sarah’s Subaru visiting all National park sites!

Years later, a life built between them both – countless camping trips, animals to care for, and love shared – it was time to take the next step. At a quiet campfire with just the two of them, Michael got on one knee and asked Sarah to marry him. And, of course, the answer was yes. Friends, it is so easy to love these two! They are just so easy going and kind and caring and just honestly two best friends in love. We spent the evening at Carvin’s Cove talking about their adventures and exploring a beautiful park. It all fit them so perfectly. We had mountain back drops and sweet Maple (their puppy!) to marvel at and the most jaw dropping sunset.

And when Sarah asked if they could get into the water? DUH! It was the most perfect evening and I’m so sad we have to wait a year to see these two again! Hope you enjoy their Carvin’s Cove engagement session!
