In some ways, it’s like Cole and Brooke were always meant to find each other. They met when they were teenagers and had kept in touch over the years and reunited at college…as friends. Good friends, really. Such good friends that Cole knew he couldn’t date Brooke because he’d surely end up marrying her 🙂 Cue spring break 2020. They both made last minute decisions to spend their break on a mission trip to Panama City beach and it was there that both of their lives changed for the better. They both became serious and personal about their faith in a new way and…they both felt the beginnings of something with each other.
And then colleges across the country started shutting down. And even more surprising…the naval academy shut down. Brooke had an easy commute to her parents, but with the dorms shut down, Cole had nowhere to go…so he headed to Brooke’s family’s house! After connecting more there and with a little of the best meddling help from Brooke’s mom, Cole told Brooke how he felt the night before he left for the airport. He was convinced he blew it with her, but gave it one more shot when she dropped him off for his flight. And not only did he score a romantic airport kiss goodbye with Brooke, but also a high five from the TSA agent! The rest is history.
Their relationship grew quickly with their intentionality and in only a short 9 months later, they were engaged! Now they’ll tie the knot this May! Just two years after their airport goodbye!
It is an understatement to say, we love Cole and Brooke. Not only did they fall in love the same way we did, connecting through their campus ministry, but they are genuinely lovely people. They’re so fun together and so genuine and you feel so loved in their presence. What an adventure they’re sure to be headed on! Hope you enjoy their engagement session!
Okay, Brooke’s beautiful red hair with all the Virginia green?! Obsessed!
So much joy. These two light up around each other.
Brooke! Cannot wait to see this gorgeous girl in a gown!
One of my favorites!
One single tree was in bloom and we made the most of it!
You can take a guess at who was shaking those tree branches :]
Sun shine for the last 5 minutes of the session :] So thankful!
Annnnd I couldn’t finish this off without including a glimpse David. He doesn’t shoot at engagement sessions, but he comes to meet our couples and hold all the things….and i mean ALL the things :]
