For Paige and Barrett, it all began in the Outer Banks. Each of them had been invited by their best friends who just so happened to be dating each other. It was there that they connected for the first time. They ended up spending much of the weekend together, building the foundation for what would be, for now, a solid friendship. They kept in touch even as they went their separate ways at the end of the weekend, and kept in touch. It wasn’t until a year later, when they were both single, that they decided to take a chance on each other. Despite distance, they knew that it was worth it! And it wasn’t long that Barrett was moving from his home in VA Beach to Richmond to put an end to long distance and be with Paige. They’ve been building a life together ever since.
Spending an afternoon with Paige and Barrett was just magical. They have such a natural chemistry, a magnetic way that they quip back and forth with each other, the ease that accompanies time hand and hand. It was wonderful to get to be a part of for a little while :] We got to frolic through Paige’s hometown of Blacksburg, taking in the lush SWVA fields and the way the sun dipped behind the mountain. They shared their love of their nephews, their pets, and their intimate wedding plans. They’ll be getting married in August with a small group of treasured friends and family on the top of a mountain!
Hope you enjoy their Heritage Park engagement session just as much as I enjoyed their company!
We got a hot but gorgeous summer day!
Barrett and Paige, thanks for climbing through all the brambles for me!
We almost had the park all to ourselves!
I just love them!

Bright sun, soft summer light, and sunset light? Check, check, check!
So thankful that their wedding is only six weeks away!
