Ray was new in town and starting a new position with the baseball team at VMI. Mary had been at her alma mater for years now. And they just so happened to cross paths at the right moment on campus. Mary caught Ray’s eye and they ended up at a friends house together not too long afterwards. Somewhere along the way, Ray found out that Mary had never had a white claw and the saga of Ray and Mary began. From the first white claw out together, to their blossoming friendship and relationship, they struck up a tradition. Every time VMI won a game, they’d celebrate with white claws.
They navigated the pandemic early in their relationship together, they moved in together and bought a home together. And of course, when it came time for the proposal, only white claws after a VMI win would do! Ray had cleverly hidden the ring from Mary and lucked out with a baseball win and got to propose at their new home, with their beverage of choice to celebrate :]
I wish everyone could get an hour or two with Ray and Mary. They’re just so fun to be around and they have such an easy presence with each other! We’d been scheduling their engagement session for so long and so many obstacles kept getting thrown in the mix and we ended up with the most glorious evening! Sunshine and great late summer weather and the best location.
Hope you enjoy their engagement session! We’re so thrilled that their wedding is only 2 weeks away!
