Caroline and her family have been going to Lake Anna with their friends as long as she can remember. It’s their happy place, their tradition, their continued joyful spot that holds the very best memories. So when it came time to plan for her wedding to Quentin, only the lake would do. It was a complete team effort from beginning to end. They used a neighbor’s land, brought in vendors from all over the state, and built a wedding from scratch. Most importantly, this meant that they could finally bring all their favorite people in the world to their favorite place in the world. What a dream! It makes sense that the morning of the wedding was bustling – with energy, with joy, with things to do! Caroline stepped into her dress on a wooden deck surrounded by her sisters and her mom, with her 14 bridesmaids waiting patiently!
All the stress melted away when she got to see Quentin. They shared a private first look and a quiet moment where they exchanged vows and the widest smiles. Soon after, they joined their truly wonderful and huge group of friends and it felt like the party really began. The lake breeze embraced their guests and the boats drifted by before their ceremony to set the perfect scene. Quentin and Caroline exchanged public vows with the October sun shining down and then walked back up the aisle as a married couple in a flurry of confetti! It was magical! They toasted with oysters and dug up their buried bourbon and hugged everyone imaginable. The dance floor was crazy full from beginning to end with Caroline and Quentin always at the center of it. They departed on a getaway boat with fireworks as the backdrop! It was magical from start to finish!
What a gift it was to be a part of this day. We had photographed Caroline’s older sister’s wedding years ago, so it felt like a family reunion in coming back to celebrate with them! Quentin and Caroline are the life of every party, so the day was fun from start to finish! They’ve got a special humor and fun between the two of them that is contagious to be around. It was the most bittersweet feeling when the day ended. Congratulations to the Newcomers! We love you guys!
