Cody and Renee met in a college class at Roanoke College – a figure drawing class to be transparent. A nude figure drawing class! You can’t say their meet cute wasn’t memorable :] Luck had brought them to the same place at the same time and a partnered project sealed the deal. Well specifically, one of the things that sealed the deal for Cody was that Renee liked Star Wars. They just clicked together. The sweetest thing about meeting in college is that you get to grow up together. And that’s what they’ve done. Two artists who share a passion grew roots in Roanoke and have gotten to share their lives. And now, they’re getting married! A Christmas proposal made it official. They would continue adventuring and creating side by side.
Cody and Renee are such wonderful people. They’re kind and introspective and you can tell immediately why they were drawn to each other. It’s so fun that they connect through art and through their love of birding! We walked around Carvin’s Cove and enjoyed the dreamiest of sunsets and now I get to start the countdown to their wedding at the Maridor! What a gift – it’s sure to be beautiful and unique with these two executing the vision!
