A love story years and years in the making. Paul and Rachel first connected in middle school! In what most people would call “the most awkward years ever,” they struck up a deep friendship and daily communication. Paul was in, he knew that Rachel was the one for him. And eventually, he asked Rachel out….to the tune of a resounding “no.” Literally. Rachel kept saying no 🙂 But Paul was persistent! They continued a good friendship and eventually, Rachel decided to give him a chance and they’ve been together ever since! I’ll keep Paul’s smooth pick up line a secret, but it was a moment to remember 😉 The beautiful thing about marrying your high school sweetheart is that they’ve seen you at all the stages. From homecomings to proms to driver’s licenses and colleges – they’ve been in it together. What a gift to know someone and love them through changes and highs and lows and growth!

Six years later, Paul proposed in New York City and this time…he got a yes! We got to hear the whole story while we walked around Carvin’s Cove together. It’s so sweet to see the way Rachel lights up around Paul. Her smile becoming brighter, her laugh a little easier. And Paul who smiles his best smile when it’s for Rachel only. Their epic story deserved an epic location, which we absolutely had! The water was a special blue that matched their outfits and the sun was making everything sparkle in the most magical way.

I LOVE how their session turned out! Cannot wait for their wedding next June!
