Happy cow appreciation day! Seriously, its happening. Today is the day that Chick fila gives out free entrees if you come in dressed as a cow. As you may know…or probably not…I have a deep love for cows so that is precisely what David and I will be doing for our date tonight :] As promised, here’s the cutest little family for your blog viewing pleasure this evening.
Oh the Johnson’s. If there ever was a wonderful family, this is them. Most of the Johnson family tree lives in Radford and they are an absolute joy to be around. One of the Johnson brothers, Bret, is our head pastor, their parents Eric and Barbara are missionaries overseas, and Landon and Melanie work with David and I on campus with Cru at Radford. And the newest addition to the Johnson family…Noah. The sweetest little baby boy with the chubbiest of cheeks. I met Mel pretty early on at Radford through Cru. She always looked way too cool to be friends with when she was drumming during worship with her dreadlocks swinging everywhere. But of course, I was wrong. Melanie, although super cool, is a really fun person to be around. One of the things I love about her most is that she is who she is and she’s okay with that. Her character is consistent no matter who she is around and she radically and boldly loves Jesus with her whole heart. She’s honest about her life, always. It has been so cool seeing her fall in love with Landon, get married, and have a beautiful baby all in the last two years!
She is amazing and so are her husband and baby boy. It was wonderful getting to hang out and watch how much Landon and Mel love each other and their little boy Noah. Hope you enjoy their family session!
Eek! Look at this face!
Ugh. Love this sweet baby.
You are beautiful Mel!
Aw so sweet.
AHHH!
This seriously made me laugh out loud. Noah is not impressed.
