There is something about a sunrise in the NRV that makes you excited. The skies have been so beautiful here lately and the morning of Matt and Becca’s engagement shoot was no different. The only thing that made it a little out of the ordinary was the fact that we got to spend BOTH sunrise and sunset together. Oh yeah, and there was that whole accidental trespassing thing. And there is absolutely no one I would rather have that adventure with than the future Repperts.
Something you should also know…when Matt and Becca modeled for us last summer, Matt said, “Hey…maybe we’ll be doing this again if we get engaged one day…” They had been dating for two weeks.
Matt and Becca are adventurers. Who else’s relationship would start seeing each other across a crowded hallway when one person was wearing footie pajamas…? And still he thought she was the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen. In footie pajamas. Sigh I love these two. Not only because they are great friends and David and I have known them both separately for so long, but because the story that is beginning between them is so beautiful. Not only are the two of them coming together in marriage, Matt’s spunky daughter Caroline is in the midst of all of it. What a beautiful picture of a new family starting because of two people saying “I do.”
I love Matt and Becca because you can tell that they are friends, the best of friends, when they are with each other. They love playing games together and going on adventures. They have been so creative in the way that they’ve pursued their relationship, most of it long distance. They just know how to have fun. Matt absolutely lights up around Becca and it is a privilege to be able to be around. I love them a lot (and not only because they know that game feelings are NOT real feelings ;])
Without further adieu, Matt and Becca. We started at sunrise, armchairs and end tables in hand.
Ugh. When this is one of the first shots of the day…you KNOW it’s gonna be great.
Wahhh. the light!
PS: Matt and Becca are game lovers. So why not bring some cards?
Okayyyyy Tyra. Bring on that smize. Also you should know this was right when we were asked to leave the property…Becca told me to keep shooting.
A definite favorite :]
Look familiar?!
