Friends, birthdays are real nice. They’re like a little reminder: “Hey, you’re loved.” “Hey, you’re doing just fine.” “You made it another year.” That feels a little naive to say at only 25 years, but even though I didn’t do much to get there, I felt like 25 was an accomplishment. It was another year of serving the Lord and trying to love people well. I’m different than who I was last year around this time, and that is exciting! I don’t ever want to stop growing, and a birthday feels like a good enough reason to look back and see how far you’ve come. Also it’s a day you get encouraged and told how much you’re loved and remembered. So yeah, I like my birthday :]
I also like my birthday because it’s on St Patrick’s Day and I get to wear green and everyone else has to. And being an Irish girl, that just makes you smile. Overall, my birthday was lovely. I got to have lunch with two of my favorites, relax at home with my puppy, go out and target shop with David and get delicious dinner at Outback. It was so fun and chill and it was just a really good day.
The other nice thing about holidays is that David is a little more likely to get in front of the camera. He knows how obsessed I am with freezing time and preserving memories soooo he was happy to pose for self portraits with me :] This always results in lots of laughing, a little bit of frustration because posing yourself is hard, and a couple good images. So here’s the finished product 😀
Something that added to the frustration would be the fact that Neville whined the entire time.
Love this guy.
They’re the best.
Love this one :]
Cuddly guy.
And this was the last shot. Because David was done about 15 minutes before this.
