Sometimes, in the wake of client sessions piling up and a busy schedule, my personal photos get left in a folder somewhere. They get left unedited and not even sorted through! So obviously during a slower season like this it is so fun to get to go back and look at some of the things that have happened over the past few months! The nice thing is…I eventually always go back to the images. It drives me crazy to think about my personal memories just sitting on a hard drive untouched. So they’ll always come back around at some point :]
Today we’re dialing back to the Fall of last year to the Vespers concert. The Vespers are a Americana/folk/roots band from Nashville. (I had to look that up because I’ve got no idea how to describe their unique sound) They’re made up of a set of two brothers and two sisters and they are SO fun to watch. They’ve come through Radford at least 4 times now to perform at the University and they’re wonderful every time. Callie and Phoebe have SO much energy and watching them perform is exciting.
The first time David and I saw them was in a small brick room on Main Street. There were tons of people crammed in this tiny space, basically all sitting on top of each other. The band had a tiny space of perform in and just wowed everyone there. David and I had only heard of them at this point and had not seen them live and we were blown away. We had a sunrise shoot the next day and planned to leave early…but we ended up staying because we were so enthralled by them!
They released a new album a bit ago and you’ve got to give it a listen! It’s called Sisters and Brothers. Also, ALL of their music is on Spotify, so no excuses, go check them out. Can’t wait until they come back and visit us again :]
Ugh, I get chills when these two harmonize.
I believe this is when Callie rapped for us :]
So fun! Happy Friday!
