I cannot believe it! It’s been over four months since I shot…since I even attended a wedding! So OF COURSE I am thrilled that my summer season starts tomorrow. It is about time.

David and I are still up in Northern Virginia, after our little poolside getaway with my family, but we are anxious to get back home! And I’m anxious to clean all the gear, refresh our “extras” bag (filled with things like command strips, tissues, bobby pins a la abby grace), and drink lots of water to hydrate up for tomorrow. As wedding season has been creeping nearer and my life has been filled with lots of friends saying “When’s your first wedding of the summer?”, I’ve had LOTS of time to think about what I’m excited for.

I’m excited for all of the sweet, history making moments between our brides and grooms, but I’m also SO excited for all of the behind the scenes goodness that makes up being a wedding photographer. And one of my most favorites parts of this job is that we get to do it together! David is the best second shooter for me and I LOVE spending wedding days with him. So here’s a little Friday post dedicated to that :]

Here’s to testing light on a super handsome model.

And here’s to loving life together, and taking in the beauty side by side.

Oh and here’s to no more wedding day nosebleeds…hopefully. Because no matter how hard you try, there are some things you just aren’t prepared for…(but you better bet we are now!)

Also here’s to hopefully not having a day before a wedding hay-fever dream! Please tell me I’m not the only photog who gets those?!
