What a whirlwind of a week! It’s been so exciting to finally reveal what we’ve been up to behind the scenes and maybe even more exciting to hear how all of you have responded! So many people who have been reading the blog since it was *gasp* a tumblr quite a few years ago have flooded my phone and social media with love and I couldn’t be more grateful! My favorite thing that we keep hearing is “it is SO YOU!” I can’t explain how much this means to me! That was my whole goal of branding after all, to create a new internet home that captured my heart for storytelling and my love for my clients. And I’m glad to hear that the work Bonnie and I did fit the vision.
Here’s where the process started…the questionnaire that took me dayyyyyys to articulate and the mood board :]
And this is where we ended up! A beautiful new logo and all of the branding components to go with it! I love that Bonnie incorporated by love for stories with the typewriter font as well as that fun chunky cursive. And the florals as a nice feminine touch.
And another part I’m SO excited about…the stationary :] So excited to start writing love notes to clients on these beautiful pieces.
And now for the heart. If you’ve taken a tour around the site you’re probably noticing a theme. Stories. I believe we’ve all got them and that every little detail in your life, big or small, has brought you to the place you’re at right this moment. All of these ordinary moments that pass us by so easily add up to a life…and so often we let those moments pass us by. I believe true joy is in knowing what brought you to where you are now, appreciating the messy, ugly, realness that you had to go through to be where you are right this second. And thankfully, those are the type of couples we’ve worked with. I love being with a bride and groom who know that their story stretches back through time and reaches far forward into legacy. One of my favorite parts of the process, was picking images for the homepage of the site that represented that heart. So I’m sharing them below :]
For Stephanie and Greg, all of those ordinary beautiful moments were captured in paper airplanes. Handwritten notes scrawled carefully and then delicately folded. So it was only appropriate that Stephanie and Greg would do the same on their wedding day. Here’s Steph, only a few minutes before she says I do, holding onto the last words that she’d hear from her love until she met him at the end of the aisle.
Joanna’s day was full of handmade details, none more beautiful than the dress she wore. She spent the day in her mother’s wedding dress, which she altered herself as a surprise to her momma.
Quin and Stephanie might be the most joyful bride and groom I ever encountered. Their confetti exit was such a true reflection of the way that they live, taking in every moment and finding reasons to laugh loud.
Quiet moments of certainty before saying yes to forever.
Nathan and Haley have the craziest story. They spent almost all of their relationship with a whole country between them and their wedding day was one of pure joy and thankfulness. Because they made it!
Lauren’s dad hugging her tight before giving her away coupled with his eloquent speech of how long he had prayed for his princess was enough to make it a favorite wedding moment forever. And Will and Courtney’s wedding rings overtop Courtney’s promises to Will is always going to be a favorite as well.
And a perfect note to end on, Chris and Stephanie’s story of redemption was both made complete and only beginning on their beautiful wedding day.
Thanks for sticking around through all of the change and growing pains over here! And thank you for all of the encouragement and support in the big changes :]
And of course, today couldn’t be complete without announcing the giveaway winner! And the winner of the journal kit is Brittany Osborne! And simply because I think it’s hilarious that a random number generator chose one of my closest friends, I’m going to giveaway a second kit to Soumya Sista! Congratulations!
