Oh, I know that this is long overdue. It’s February and I’m still reminiscing :] Just indulge me for a little while longer. I promise I’ll hold back the nostalgia soon.
2015 was so good to us in so many ways. Personally, you all know, it’s been a whirlwind. If you had told me I’d be expecting a baby this time last year…oh boy. God opened up so much of who we are with our family change and I know He’ll continue to do so. As if that wasn’t enough, this little business picked up more speed than we could’ve originally imagined when it started 3 years ago. We never could’ve pictured all the lovely people we’d meet! That’s probably my favorite part about this business…I get to meet tons of people that I never would’ve crossed paths with. And I get to be around them during one of the most memorable parts of their lives. What a privilege.
If you’ve been around the blog the last few weeks, you already saw my favorites from the 2015 wedding season. And today, it’s all about the portraits. The engagements. The occasional lifestyle. The anniversaries. The special occasions. I don’t shoot a lot outside of weddings and engagements any more. But looking at the places I made exceptions to that rule, it makes me smile :] And I love looking back at these images because none of them were just another shoot to me. They were significant time spent getting to hear a couple’s story, getting to know each other better, and laughing a lot. These images don’t just represent work that I’m proud of, but people that I’m so thankful to know. Hope you enjoy!
Side note, I NEVER would’ve thought in a million years that we’d get to shoot in NYC. Thanks for making my dreams come true Alex & Nicki 😀
