Friends, I am most definitely a wedding and engagement photographer. I made the switch from doing “all the things” to specializing in weddings and engagements over a year ago now. But little did I know how much having a newborn would fascinate me :] And we just fell in love with our experience doing a lifestyle session with Andrea Pesce. It was so relaxed and homey; it was exactly what we needed 7 days after Ollie when everything else was chaos. Exactly what we need to feel confident and comfortable as his parents. And when we got our images back, we were SO in love with the result. It was us, in our funny little home, with our dogs, and our baby boy. It was us as we live our daily lives. And I cannot express how much it means to have that captured in pictures!
All that to say, I’d really been wanting to try my hand at newborn/lifestyle photography ever since then. And my friends Luke & Joy gave me the perfect opportunity! Little Lucy Joy Mason was born almost three weeks ago at this point! She’s an adorable little bundle who looks so much like both her parents. Strawberry blonde hair and the bluest of eyes! Such a little doll. And seeing Luke and Joy as parents is something special :] Joy grew up with babies around her house and being a mom has been a dream of hers for SO long. She’s always been a baby whisperer and to see her with her own child was such a joy! And Luke was made to be this little girl’s father. He cradles her with ease, as if she’s just an extension of his arm. It’s the sweetest thing.
Dear friends, thank you for letting me test the waters in a new type of photography. I hope these images can help you treasure this sweet time with your little girl :]
She was protecting that pacifier with her life :]
Pretty mama :]
Luke and his girls.
Such a doll baby.
This isn’t a type of session I’m currently offering, but in the future…who knows :]
