You may recognize these two! Adam and Lauren were married on May 23rd of last year amid a flurry of friends and family. It was a beautiful day with a start to finish focus on Jesus. Both of them truly seemed to be their truest selves that day. Adam, peaceful, a clear faithfulness and quiet confidence in the way he loved Lauren. And Lauren all smiles, giggles, and sweetness towards her new husband. And one year later and that sweetness is all still there, multiplied in so much joy!
We had a gorgeous evening in Harrisonburg as our setting. We walked and talked and got to chatting about marriage and just how good it had been to them. So many people warn you about the first year being so difficult, and Adam and Lauren shared gleefully that that just wasn’t the case for them. They love sharing their lives together. There’s an easiness knowing that they come home to the same place every evening and wake up together every morning. They shared just how much fun it had been to be adventure buddies the last year. A consistent partner. “My favorite person,” Lauren snuck in.
I love getting to reconnect with our brides and grooms! It’s so amazing to get to hear what life has been like beyond the wedding day and we loved getting this time with Adam and Lauren! Happy one year you two! I hope year two is filled with just as many adventures and just as much ice cream :]
