Mike and Adrianne were wed in October of last year. It was a beautiful day that so reflected the love they share. And even more important than that singular day, it was just the beginning of their life together. It was the beginning of the two of them, as a family, navigating their way through the world.
There’s a quiet confidence that comes only from time and experience. Mike and Adrianne exhibit that so well. It’s been a year since we last saw them, on their wedding day, but so much has changed. I’d noticed before how much they seem to be in sync. Even how they’re each other’s safe place in the midst of the crazy world around them. But now even more so. In time they’ve grown together even more. It’s second nature for them to place an arm around the others waist, and cuddle up close. It’s habit to lean into each other as they walk their cute pup, Harry.
Adrianne shared that there’s so much more certainty in her life now that she’s married to Mike. He’s her husband and she can happily point out her official other half as such. They treasure the permanency of the commitment they’ve made and you can see that in the way they’re lives have become one. It’s a beautiful thing to see love begin, but even more so to see love mature.
We loved our time with Mike and Adrianne and had been looking forward to it for so long. We reconnected in a glow-y, Autumn-y field in Middleburg, while David watched our respective “babies.” Aka Ollie and Harry. And it was sweet to see how well marriage had treated the Barlow family. Hope you enjoy their anniversary session, it’s definitely one of my favorites!
