Let me tell you about my friend Holly. She’s just a sweet, fierce, pursuer of people. It’s no wonder that she felt a call for her and her husband, Morgan to become foster parents. And they’ve done it with such tenacity. In the process they’ve modeled the calling to love fiercely and with great sacrifice. They’ve done it in such a way that others have responded to the same calling. It’s just been the greatest joy to witness. And let me tell you about little B. He’s a fireball. Full of personality. Absolutely unashamed. And so in love with his Morgan and his Holly.

I’ve known Holly since midway through college. And our very unlikely beginnings started with me texting her DURING her wedding week (literal days before her wedding in 2013) and asking if she’d like to take SUNRISE bridal portraits the NEXT morning. Which was a completely crazy thing to ask, but because she’s Holly, she responded “yolo!” and we made it happen. Since then, we’ve gotten to walk through becoming parents together. Her with little B and me with Ollie. Our journeys have looked vastly different, but it’s been so wonderful to have another person to share in the absolute shock that comes with the life change of having another person in your house to take care of. And Holly’s one of my favorite people to count on to be honest no matter what and to include a little sass free of charge. More than anything she’s got a heart for the Gospel and wrestling through the hard things, and it’s a privilege to get to talk through that together.

So obviously, when we learned of their newest addition, aka BABY it was time to head back to Heritage Park for a shoot. We love these people and I’m excited to share a small peek into their mini session.
