Jack and Emily fell in love at William and Mary. In between classes and to and from Greek socials. On weekends and winter breaks and Williamsburg adventures. They started as friends, but eventually their paths circled closer and closer to each other and they were just inevitable. Emily asked Jack to go to the Yankee Candle store with her and after a night of running from candle to candle, smelling all the Christmas smells, and frolicking in the fake snow, they both knew they had found something special. Since then, they’ve shared countless meals, spent countless hours over the phone, and shared countless reunion hugs. The majority of Jack and Emily’s relationship has been long distance, so if anyone is “ready” to be married, it’s the two of them.
Last September, Jack knew Emily would be suspicious of a proposal…so he threw her off by showing up in her apartment two full days earlier than he promised. The room was a glow with Yankee Candles and he got to ask Emily to spend her life with him. Obviously the answer was yes! Side by side, no more distance, an affirmation of what they’d known for years. Their lives were meant to be shared. You can see it in the way they make each other laugh. In the cadence of their storytelling. In the sharing of their dinners :] In September, it’s going to be goodbye to goodbyes and that is something worth celebrating!
We lovedddd our time with Jack and Emily! We walked around a deserted William and Mary campus and got to hear all about their time dating. I was just as thrilled by the perfect summer time light as I was by their sweet company. Jack and Emily are the kind of people that you leave feeling like you’ve known them for years! Hope you enjoy their W&M session :] Contagious smiles will abound! (make sure you scroll to the ones of them by the Crim Dell Bridge…they’re some of my favorites ever!)
