Jeff and Casey have been best friends for over a decade. It’s been so long that they can claim other as claim homecoming dates and high school buddies, but not quite high school sweethearts. In fact, if you’d told them then…they would’ve never believed that they’d be getting married one day! The friendship was always too important to them to risk it over something silly like dating. Instead they went to college in different states, came back “home” to start their professional lives, and still waited another couple years to give it a shot! One of their mutual friends had to ask why they hadn’t dated after all this time to convince them to try seeing each other that way. And then after Jeff and Casey both realized it made perfect sense, all of their friends and family chimed in with a big 1990s “duh.” It seems the only two who were surprised by their relationship were Jeff and Casey themselves!
They’ve always shared their lives with one another, but now they get to share their lives in an undeniable way – the every day in and out of living with each other, sharing a puppy together, and now, getting married! Their engagement session was just as fun as they are together. We spent time meandering through downtown Alexandria and talking about their relationship. Casey laughed easily whenever Jeff prompted her, his smile growing even wider when she reacted to him. They even changed into their jerseys as a nod to their love of sports, and how much time they spend watching them together. It was the sweetest night and now we’re counting down to their May wedding at Bluemont Vineyard next year!
Jeff and Casey, we’re so thankful to be involved in your wedding day! You guys are such fun and inviting people to be around and we know your wedding is going to incredible. And yes, we’re anticipating the dance party just as much as you are! :]
