What a sweet thing it is to be expecting a baby. You’re already very much parents, but also not quite yet. You’re holding on to the last few weeks of “just the two of you,” but also anxiously expecting your little one. You’re prepping and washing and folding and decorating and rearranging your home to hold a whole new human. You’re excited and scared and already so in love. You do all the research, but you still have no idea what’s coming for you.
And that’s precisely why I love that Drew and Liz chose to get photos commemorating this season of their lives. It’s unlike any other and I love that they’ll have these to hold onto forever – the last photos of just the two of them. The start of their family.
Drew and Liz met at JMU through acapella! Seriously, they asked me if I’d seen Pitch Perfect and said they were leading the boy and girl acapella groups when they became friends. Years after college, they reconnected and the timing was right! Now they’re a few moves, years of marriage, and a sweet baby bump into their relationship! We spent time around their neighborhood in Roanoke chatting all things baby and small town life on the coldest day ever. But honestly, you’d just never know the frigid temps from how sweet they were together!
Drew and Liz, I’m so excited for you guys! Cannot wait for you to meet your sweet baby! You guys are going to be the best parents!
Love this!
And this one! Liz, you’re beautiful!
We took some shots in front of their home – my favorite part!
Liz’s dress was to die for!
Okayyy, in love with this one too!
